Cuban trumpet player Hansel Herrera of Intense Latin Band & Cuban violinist Lazara Martinez of Havana Loops will collaborate once again to present another night of original songs, rhythms and favorites from their native Cuba and beyond. Joining them on this night will be Kevin Doyle on piano, Alex Aponte on bass and Tali Rondon on congas, bongoes and cajon. If you missed their first collaboration at PAUSA, this is your other chance to enjoy first hand the joy and good energy that Latin music brings.

Hansel graduated from Havana's National School of Arts and joined the Latin Cuban band "Azucar Negra" whit whom he traveled and performed around Europe and Canada. Hansel has been in the Buffalo Latin music scene for the last few years since he migrated to the states, offering a unique singing and trumpet playing style that embraces his Cuban upbringings.

Lazara's violin career also started in Cuba, graduating from the Havana Music Conservatory "Amadeo Roldán".  After participating in numerous music festivals around Europe and Latin America, and having lived in Mexico City, Lazara migrated to the States and has now been her home for the last 22 years. Havana Loops is her latest project, using loop pedals to layer the intricate afro-cuban rhythms and melodies that are so embedded in her from her early years of music training in Havana.
